The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess

After three years of self-imposed isolation, the vampire Terakomari Gandesblood—known simply as Komari—wakes to a startling revelation: she has been appointed as a Commander within the Mulnite Imperial Army. Rather than an honor, the position quickly reveals itself as a perilous burden. Her newly assigned unit is composed entirely of aggressive, unruly soldiers who are quick to mutiny against any leader displaying even the faintest trace of vulnerability. The situation is particularly dire for Komari. Although she descends from an ancient and extraordinarily powerful vampire lineage, her steadfast refusal to consume blood has left her severely diminished. Instead of inheriting her family's formidable strength, she is physically frail, hopelessly clumsy, and utterly incapable of wielding magic. She embodies mediocrity in a role that demands dominance. Facing insurmountable odds, Komari must rely on her sole source of support: her loyal maid, Vill, whose dedication borders on romantic infatuation. Together, they must navigate a treacherous military environment where a single misstep could prove fatal. Whether this reluctant recluse can somehow stumble into success or will ultimately regret ever stepping beyond the safety of her bedroom remains to be seen.
