Doushirou de Gozaru

At the age of three, Doushirou was taken away from Japan by his father and raised in the remote countryside of Nevada, America. For twelve years, he grew up far removed from his homeland, immersed instead in a world shaped entirely by tales of legendary warriors. When he finally returns to Japan at the age of fifteen to reunite with his mother, the boy who left has been fundamentally transformed. Through an intense childhood devotion to stories of ancient swordsmen, Doushirou has somehow molded himself into what appears to be a genuine samurai in both spirit and demeanor. Now thrust back into contemporary Japanese society, he faces an entirely unfamiliar battlefield: the everyday life of a modern high school student. The customs, expectations, and social dynamics of a present-day classroom stand in stark contrast to the warrior ethos that defines him. Armed with an unwavering code of honor and habits forged by years of historical inspiration, Doushirou must navigate the complexities of adolescence while remaining true to the path of the samurai. How this extraordinary young man will reconcile his archaic upbringing with the demands of modern youth remains to be seen as he embarks on his most challenging journey yet.
