Re:STARS: Mirai e Tsunagu 2-tsu no Kiraboshi

Eighteen-year-old Eita Hoshizora has just begun his university studies, but his path to a normal student life is abruptly derailed. Gifted with an exceptional singing voice since childhood, Eita lost the ability to perform in front of others following a traumatic incident. However, when his twin sister Karina—a wildly popular top idol—makes a selfish demand for him to take her place on stage, he finds himself unable to refuse. Disguising himself as his famous sister, Eita steps into the dazzling spotlight, only to immediately anger her sponsors and push her career to the brink of total collapse within the entertainment industry. Now facing the very real threat of Karina being permanently expelled from show business, Eita must navigate the cutthroat world of idols to restore her reputation. What follows is a vibrant coming-of-age comedy centered on a brother and sister who trade places, forcing Eita to confront his deepest fears while living a double life under the pressure of fame. This film serves as the Japanese theatrical release of the Chinese animated production Jintian Kaishi Zuo Mingxing, presented domestically under the title Re:STARS.
