Like his fellow devils, Hyeonshin has seamlessly integrated into modern society to sustain himself on the deadly sin of pride. Operating as a plastic surgeon provides him with an endless supply of human ego to feed upon. However, he harbors a crippling secret: lingering trauma from his past has left him with an intense, overwhelming aversion to blood. This phobia threatens both his livelihood and his survival until he crosses paths with Ina, a spirited young woman whose gaze possesses a strange ability to ease his condition. Recognizing her eagerness to secure an appointment at his highly sought-after clinic, Hyeonshin proposes a mutually beneficial arrangement. He will perform her desired surgery if she agrees to assist him with experiments designed to build his tolerance to blood. Yet their partnership proves far more complicated than anticipated. Their starkly contrasting personalities constantly clash, and frequent meddling from his devil colleagues only adds to the chaos, keeping his recovery frustratingly out of reach.
