Kaoru Hanabishi, a college student, encounters a bewildered girl in a kimono at a train station who turns out to be his childhood friend and betrothed fiancee, Aoi Sakuraba. Aoi has traveled to Tokyo to marry Kaoru, but their reunion awakens long-forgotten memories of Kaoru's complicated past with the Hanabishi family.
