Fabulous Beasts

As human civilization advances and science reshapes the modern world, the ancient majesty of mythological creatures has faded into obscurity. No longer revered as they were in bygone eras, these legendary beings now struggle to survive in a society that has outgrown them. Tasked with a critical mission, the mythical beast Sibuxiang receives orders to descend into the mortal realm to seek out and aid his fellow mythological creatures who have fallen on desperate times while wandering among humanity. Upon entering the secular world, Sibuxiang quickly discovers that many of his kind are barely scraping by. He reunites with Pixiu, a former colleague now trapped in a dire predicament, and crosses paths with Tuye, an old drinking companion whose luck has entirely run dry. He also encounters the Jue brothers, once proud figures of gold and silver, who have been stripped of their status and banished to the mortal plane. Bound together by circumstance and shared hardship, this unlikely group must navigate the challenges of the human world. As their paths intertwine, new stories of camaraderie, survival, and unexpected adventure begin to unfold.
