Otaku-chans

Otaku-chans follows the lighthearted escapades of Riri and Popo, two endearingly carefree feline companions who embark on a series of short animated adventures. Rooted in the vibrant culture of fandoms and hobbies, the story celebrates the joy of enriching everyday life through shared geek activities and enthusiastic promotions. As they navigate their quirky daily routines, the two cats bring a unique blend of charm and comedic energy to every encounter, turning ordinary moments into delightful experiences for those around them. Despite their close bond, Riri and Popo possess strikingly different personalities that drive their dynamic. Riri is an emotionally fragile cat burdened by unrequited devotion, constantly struggling with the heartbreak of being ignored by the idol she passionately supports. In contrast, Popo is a delightfully scatterbrained feline whose innocent, airheaded demeanor masks a mischievous and devilishly cute nature. Together, their contrasting traits create a humorous and engaging interplay as they explore the world of otaku culture side by side. Notably, Otaku-chans holds a distinct place in modern animation history. It stands as the very first anime originally conceived and produced specifically for the TikTok platform, tailored to deliver its charming narrative through bite-sized, easily accessible episodes designed for a digital-first audience.
