Shitasaki kara Koi

Set within the distinctive framework of the "cakeverse," Shitasaki kara Koi explores a society where individuals are divided into two distinct classifications: "forks" and "cakes." This unique biological hierarchy dictates the way people experience the world around them, fundamentally shaping their interactions and desires. Within this setting, the boundaries between predator and prey blur, creating an environment where ordinary human connections are defined by extraordinary appetites and vulnerabilities. At the center of the narrative is Tatsunari, a man who belongs to the "fork" classification. Like others of his kind, he suffers from a profound sensory affliction that has stripped him of the ability to taste normal food or find any flavor in everyday life. His senses remain entirely dormant until he encounters a "cake"—a rare individual whose very existence offers an irresistible allure to those like him. Naruya is one such "cake," possessing a naturally exquisite appeal that makes him uniquely delectable to "forks." As these two navigate their inherent roles, the story delves into the complex dynamic between a man starved of all sensation and the one person capable of awakening his dulled senses, forging a connection built upon a deeply ingrained biological divide.
