Hirano to Kagiura

Hirano to Kagiura is an animated short produced to accompany the feature film Sasaki to Miyano: Sotsugyou-hen. The story centers on Hirano, a second-year high school student residing in his campus dormitory, whose daily routine shifts when he is assigned a new roommate. His companion is Kagiura, a first-year student and a dedicated member of the basketball team. Despite Kagiura’s strong work ethic on the court, he struggles significantly with waking up each morning, prompting Hirano to step into the role of his dependable support system. The two young men quickly develop a comfortable and amicable dynamic within their shared living space. Hirano finds himself genuinely fond of his earnest, straightforward roommate, appreciating Kagiura’s sincere nature and the easy rapport they share.
