In a humble temple, Jiang Feng grew up surrounded by spiritual teachings. One day, in a display of compassion, he ate a candied hawthorn from a young worshipper's hand to prevent him from getting cavities, unknowingly unlocking the secrets of his own magical abilities and the rewards that come with kindness. From then on, he devoted himself to the path of compassion, only to be challenged by a divine summons from Guanyin Bodhisattva, who appears to him in the form of an old monk. Guanyin poses a question: "Sui Sanzang, why haven't you gone to the Western Paradise to retrieve the scriptures?" Jiang Feng's response sets the stage for a tumultuous journey: "You want to steal the scriptures from the Western Paradise? Then I'll be compassionate and make a trip to Mount Ling!" Thus begins the tale of a ruthless bandit, armed with an AK-47 and a determination to plunder Leiyin Temple, embarking on a perilous quest to the West.
