Sugarmilk

Sugarmilk is a manga collection comprised primarily of shounen-ai one-shots. The anthology features several standalone stories, including What's Your Name?, Fifteen, The Lingering Scent of a Rainbow, and Waiting for Winter. Woven throughout the collection is a central narrative arc spanning two main stories—Milk and Sugar—alongside a special chapter titled New Year's Eve. This overarching storyline focuses on the enduring bond between childhood friends Sho and Taichi. For years, Taichi believed he and Sho would remain inseparable. That certainty shatters when Sho abruptly moves away without warning or explanation. Time passes, and fate intervenes during Taichi’s university years when the two unexpectedly cross paths again while working at the same diner. Faced with this second chance, Taichi resolves to finally make their relationship work, even as he navigates the complexities of Sho’s bisexuality. With alcohol serving as an unlikely catalyst for honesty and connection, Taichi is determined not to let his oldest friend slip away again.
