Ikusaba Animation

Mitsuka Hachiya possesses a voice that sounds as though it belongs in an anime. While this might seem like a gift, it was the source of her deepest struggles during her earlier years. Relentlessly bullied for the unusual quality of her speech and left entirely without friends, she endured a lonely childhood defined by isolation. Determined to leave that painful past behind, Mitsuka enters high school with a single, heartfelt wish: to start over, embrace a normal life, and finally experience the joy of true friendship. However, concealing her distinctive voice proves far more difficult than she anticipated. On the very first day of classes, her careful efforts to blend in unravel after school when a classmate named Kansai Kanisawa overhears her speaking. Terrified of facing the same rejection she has always known, Mitsuka braces herself for ridicule. Instead of shunning her, Kansai reacts with unexpected enthusiasm. Rather than pushing her away, he approaches her with an extraordinary request, asking Mitsuka to lend her unique voice to his own anime project as a voice actor. This surprising encounter sets the stage for a new chapter in her life, transforming the trait she once hid into the very thing that might finally connect her to others.
