As a decaying satellite hurtles toward Tokyo, the metropolis stands nearly empty, with only three residents remaining behind during the mass evacuation. Watanabe, a hardened detective, refuses to leave the deserted cityscape. He is consumed by his search for Machida, a gaunt and desperate fugitive wanted for attempted murder. Also lingering in the abandoned streets is Chiaki, a stubbornly defiant housewife who firmly believes the falling debris will somehow miss Tokyo entirely. Chiaki’s conviction proves fatally wrong. When the satellite finally crashes into the city, the impact radically alters their surroundings, revealing that Tokyo is far less empty than they assumed. The destruction uncovers a shocking truth: someone rode the falling wreckage all the way down from orbit. This mysterious arrival was not born on Earth, plunging the three survivors into an unprecedented conflict as they face an otherworldly presence amid the burning ruins of their home.
