Grudge-laden Lackey

For Kang Deokbae, the Taesung Gang was more than just a criminal organization—it was his entire world. However, his reign comes to an abrupt and violent end on his fiftieth birthday when a rival syndicate launches a devastating ambush, leaving him fatally wounded. With his final breaths, Deokbae entrusts the future of his beloved gang to his most loyal subordinates before closing his eyes for what he believes is the last time. Instead of death, he awakens three decades later in the body of Lee Taejun, a twenty-three-year-old gangster navigating the modern underworld. The world he once ruled has changed drastically, and the discovery that shocks him most is the current state of his own legacy. The Taesung Gang he built with pride has abandoned its former code of honor, devolving into a corrupt and dishonorable shadow of its past. Horrified by what his successors have allowed his life's work to become, Deokbae resolves to take matters into his own hands. Operating from within the body of a young enforcer, he sets out on a ruthless mission to restore the principles he once lived by. If purging the corruption means dismantling the Taesung Gang entirely and rebuilding it from the ground up, he is fully prepared to destroy everything he created.
