Yayoi Sakamoto is a passionate devotee of stand-up comedy and comedic performance. Driven by her love for the craft, she enrolls at the private Kazuki High School, located in Nanba, Osaka’s legendary entertainment district renowned as the birthplace of countless professional comedians. It is here that Yayoi unexpectedly reunites with Yomogi Takahashi, a childhood friend with whom she once performed as part of a youthful comedy duo called Konamonzu. Rekindling their old dynamic, the two friends soon find themselves rehearsing a new routine together in a local park, much as they did during their younger years. Their immediate goal is to polish their act in preparation for an upcoming comedy contest hosted by the neighborhood shopping district. However, just as they begin to rediscover their shared comedic rhythm, their practice session is interrupted when a mysterious girl suddenly approaches and calls out to them, setting the stage for an unforeseen turn in their journey toward the spotlight.
