I Didn't Want to See You

This volume collects two distinct stories exploring unexpected connections. In "I Didn't Want to Meet You," a new school year begins, bringing freshly shuffled classes and unfamiliar faces. When Ken, the dedicated captain of the baseball team, crosses paths with Ryouhei, a notorious troublemaker, he is immediately struck by a powerful sense of déjà vu. Ryouhei bears an uncanny resemblance to a former teammate from Ken's elementary school days. However, the similarities seem to end there; Ryouhei carries a completely different family name and treats Ken with absolute indifference, leaving the baseball captain struggling to reconcile his memories with the cold reality standing before him. The second story, "Copernicus Who Fell in Love," follows Takaomi, a young man who knows that romance is rarely simple when you are attracted to your own gender. Though he has fallen in love many times before, his feelings have never been returned. Upon entering university, he meets Shougo, someone who initially appears abrasive but quickly reveals a surprisingly kind nature beneath his rough exterior. As their friendship deepens, Takaomi inevitably finds himself falling for Shougo as well. Their dynamic takes a sudden, shocking turn when Takaomi impulsively performs a sexual act on his new friend, leaving Shougo entirely bewildered and forcing both of them to navigate the complicated aftermath.
