Idol Liberty

May Satsuki, also known as May Igarashi, once stood at the absolute pinnacle of the idol world. As the center performer of a massively popular idol group, she captivated audiences and defined an era of entertainment. Yet, at the very height of her fame, she stunned fans by announcing a sudden departure from the group, followed by a shocking retirement from the industry altogether. Leaving the spotlight behind, May stepped away to begin a quiet, ordinary life as a private citizen far removed from the stage. However, her peaceful existence is destined to be disrupted. While navigating her new reality as a member of the general public, a fateful encounter awaits her—one that threatens to pull her back toward the dazzling world she left behind. This compelling premise has even drawn the passionate support of Pour Lui, the renowned idol who first rose to fame with BiS and now serves as the CEO, producer, and lead performer of PIGGS. Crafted by Hiro Shibara, the acclaimed creator behind Online Sheep and Contract of the Ghost Marriage, this narrative marks the beginning of a striking new chapter. Idol Liberty delivers a fresh neo-idol coming-of-age story that explores fame, identity, and second chances.
