Requiem of the Rose King

During the turbulent era of the Wars of the Roses, medieval England is torn apart as the rival houses of York and Lancaster engage in a ruthless struggle for the throne. At the center of this historical upheaval stands Richard, the third son of the Duke of York. His father harbors an unwavering ambition to seize the crown, and Richard desires nothing more than to see this aspiration fulfilled. Yet, what begins as a seemingly innocent wish for his family's triumph threatens to drag the entire nation deeper into the devastating chaos of civil war. Beyond the sprawling battlefields and political machinations that define the conflict between the two great houses, Richard faces a profound internal crisis. While he remains fiercely devoted to his father's cause and the broader ambitions of the House of York, he is simultaneously waging a far more intimate and personal battle. This private struggle complicates his role in the unfolding war, intertwining his individual turmoil with the fate of a fractured kingdom. As external hostilities escalate and loyalties are tested, Richard must navigate both the brutal realities of a nation at war and the deeply personal conflicts that threaten to consume him from within.
