Taiko no Tatsujin

Kotarou is a young man whose life revolves entirely around his deep passion for taiko drumming. Hailing from the quiet, tradition-rich community of Taiko Village, he has spent his days immersed in the rhythms and spirit of the ancient art form. However, Kotarou harbors an ambition far greater than simply playing for his neighbors. He believes that the joy, energy, and cultural significance of taiko deserve to be experienced by everyone, driving him to look beyond the familiar borders of his hometown. Determined to share this musical tradition on a grander scale, Kotarou sets out on an ambitious journey alongside his trusted partner, Don-chan. Together, they leave the pastoral surroundings of Taiko Village and travel to the bustling urban landscape of Omiko City. Their shared mission is clear: to introduce the vibrant world of taiko to new audiences and spread its greatness across the globe. As they navigate the challenges of a much larger environment, their unwavering dedication to the drums serves as the foundation of their quest, transforming a simple love for music into a worldwide endeavor.
