Despite his earnest efforts to connect with others, Ha-Woon struggles daily with an almost invisible presence that leaves him entirely unnoticed by those around him. Once again, a day of trying to strike up conversations ends in silence, and he returns home without having spoken to a single person. Overwhelmed by profound isolation, he lies alone in bed as tears stream down his face. In the depths of his loneliness, he suddenly feels the gentle touch of a hand patting him from above, an unexpected comfort that introduces him to a ghost named Kwon Gi-Jin. Initially, Ha-Woon attempts to ignore the spectral figure, feigning unawareness of Gi-Jin’s existence. However, his desperate need for companionship quickly overpowers his hesitation. Drawn to the spirit’s unwavering warmth and constant affection, he finds himself spending the entire night in Gi-Jin’s company, finally experiencing the connection he has been denied by the living world. As their quiet bond deepens through the hours, Ha-Woon voices a vulnerable plea born from his lifelong solitude, asking the ghost if he might simply remain by his side forever.
