Deep within a densely packed coal mining settlement known as the "Hakoniwa," countless small-scale miners eke out their existence in a sprawling, ever-shifting labyrinth of tunnels and makeshift structures. Amid this chaotic environment lives Kagari, a young girl who operates a modest map shop to navigate the town's constantly changing layout. She is joined by her childhood friend Yuya, who harbors a fierce dream of escaping the confines of the Hakoniwa and finding freedom beyond its winding corridors. However, their daily routines are soon disrupted by a series of increasingly frequent and suspicious sinkhole accidents that begin tearing through the settlement. As these mysterious collapses encroach upon their lives and threaten the very foundation of the mining town, Kagari finds herself thrust into an unexpected crisis. Faced with mounting danger, she must rise to the challenge and confront the forces dictating the fate of her home. Through this harrowing ordeal, the young mapmaker will discover her own resilience, growing just a little more today as she navigates the uncertainties threatening everything she knows.
