Chinzei Hachirou Tametomo

Kamimine Town, nestled in the eastern region of Saga Prefecture, is deeply intertwined with the legacy of Minamoto no Tametomo, a legendary military commander celebrated in the famous proverb that places Yoshitsune in the east and Tametomo in the west. It was here that he adopted the name Chinzei Hachirou and constructed his own fortress. From this stronghold, Chinzei and his forces achieved remarkable victories, reportedly defeating an army of fifty thousand enemies and leaving behind a rich tapestry of enduring local legends. A towering figure renowned for his unparalleled mastery of the bow, Chinzei possessed a fierce and volatile temper that led many to view him as inherently violent by nature. Yet, beneath this fearsome exterior lay a man defined by profound warmth and compassion. His story reveals a complex warrior whose formidable strength on the battlefield was matched only by his deep humanity and genuine kindness toward others.
