Strawberry-chan no Karei na Seikatsu

Strawberry-chan is no ordinary amphibian; he is a talking frog deeply devoted to his owner, a boy named Akiyoshi. Unfortunately for the affectionate creature, his feelings are rarely reciprocated with kindness. Instead of treating his loyal companion with care, Akiyoshi delights in using a straw to inflate Strawberry-chan like a balloon—a bizarre and frustrating pastime that causes the poor frog endless dismay. The dynamic between the boy and his unusual pet does not go unnoticed by those around them. Akiyoshi’s friends hold vastly different opinions regarding the mistreated frog. While some believe Strawberry-chan deserves far better treatment, others have developed a genuine fondness for him, with one friend even harboring a secret wish to become the beloved amphibian himself. Caught between unwavering devotion and relentless torment, Strawberry-chan faces a chaotic daily existence defined by both adoration and abuse. As the pressures of his peculiar life mount, the ultimate question remains whether this extraordinary frog can possibly endure long enough to survive the events of the first volume.
