Marimo no Hoshi

Nadeshiko and her sister Renge live a quiet life in the northern Japanese region of Hokkaido, where they are being raised by their grandparents. Their family history is shadowed by an unresolved tragedy: many years ago, their mother, a celebrated prima ballerina, vanished under mysterious circumstances near a lake. The lingering questions surrounding her sudden disappearance continue to cast a long shadow over the sisters' lives, leaving them with little more than unanswered questions and fragmented memories. However, fate intervenes through a series of dramatic and unexpected twists that forever alter Nadeshiko’s path. Drawn into the demanding and elegant world of ballet, she begins to follow in the very footsteps her mother once walked. As she navigates this new realm, the mysteries of the past slowly begin to unravel.
