On a rainy day at a train station, Ryou Amakusa, a salaryman with a reputation as a womanizer, is unexpectedly rescued by a high school girl he does not recognize. He later discovers that his savior is Ichika Arima. Eager to repay her kindness, Ryou offers her either a kiss or a date, only for Ichika to bluntly dismiss him as creepy. Rather than discouraging him, her harsh rejection sparks an unforeseen transformation within Ryou, causing him to fall madly in love with her. From that moment forward, Ryou becomes relentlessly devoted to expressing his newfound affection for Ichika. He pursues her with overwhelming enthusiasm, constantly showering her with declarations of his feelings. Ichika responds to his persistent advances with continuous insults, repeatedly telling him how unsettling his behavior is. However, Ryou remains entirely unfazed by her hostility. Instead of taking offense, he chooses to interpret her sharp words and constant rejections as a unique expression of fondness, firmly convinced that her insults are simply her unconventional way of showing affection toward him.
