For third-year high school student Mitsuki, simply being a friendly neighbor is no longer enough. His daily routine after school revolves around spending time with the young children in his neighborhood, playing with them and looking after their needs. However, one ordinary afternoon takes an unexpected turn when he is approached by an intimidating young man bearing a prominent scar on his face. Despite his fearsome appearance, the stranger has a surprisingly earnest request: he wants to learn how to properly interact with small children. With his mother preparing to remarry, he will soon have a new younger sibling joining the family, and he feels entirely unequipped for the role. This imposing figure turns out to be Kyohei, a local resident who lives nearby and happens to be one year younger than Mitsuki. What begins as a simple lesson in childcare gradually evolves into something much deeper. As Mitsuki spends more time guiding Kyohei through the challenges of caring for children, he starts to see past the tough exterior. Beneath the scars and the intimidating glare lies a clumsy but genuine kindness that completely contradicts his frightening looks, drawing Mitsuki closer to him in ways neither of them anticipated.
