Your Forma

In an alternate version of 2023, a groundbreaking technology known as the Your Forma has woven itself into the fabric of everyday society. Originally engineered as a medical countermeasure against a devastating viral encephalitis pandemic, this "smart thread" now serves countless daily functions. However, its convenience comes at a steep cost to personal privacy, as the threads continuously record every visual detail, auditory input, and emotional fluctuation experienced by their hosts. Electronic investigator Echika Hieda leverages this invasive capability to solve complex crimes, routinely diving into the recorded memories of individuals to extract crucial evidence. Her exceptional aptitude for this demanding work carries a severe drawback: her human assistants consistently suffer neurological damage trying to match her intense pace. After hospitalizing one too many aides, her superiors assign her a partner capable of enduring the strain—a highly intelligent and unapologetically cheeky android named Harold Lucraft. Forced to collaborate despite deep-seated mutual distrust, Echika and Harold must quickly learn to function as a cohesive unit. A lethal technological infection threatens to spread across the globe, and this unlikely pair represents humanity's best chance at containing the catastrophe before it is far too late.
