When the hydrangeas are falling

Yuuta Yamano and Shinomiya Natsuha appear to be a typical couple navigating the early stages of their romantic relationship. To Yuuta, their connection seems straightforward and genuine, built on the mutual affection expected of two people who have chosen to be together. He moves through their time as partners without suspicion, trusting in the bond they share and believing that their relationship represents the entirety of Natsuha's emotional focus. However, beneath the surface of their seemingly ordinary courtship lies a starkly different reality. Natsuha harbors a deeply concealed secret, maintaining a hidden relationship entirely unknown to her unsuspecting boyfriend. This clandestine connection is not merely a fleeting distraction; it provides her with a profound sense of fulfillment that ultimately eclipses anything she experiences alongside Yuuta. While he remains blissfully unaware of the truth, Natsuha quietly balances her public romance with a private attachment that offers her far greater satisfaction. The dramatic tension of the story stems from this quiet deception, framing a relationship built on an unseen imbalance where one partner’s most meaningful emotional investment remains deliberately out of sight.
