False Memory (2020)

“For us, good or bad, true or false, it is meaningless.” In a reality where the world around you is never quite what it seems, the line between genuine experience and fabricated illusion has been entirely erased. Individuals may suddenly find themselves trapped in the presence of a Bug Man, a formidable entity possessing the terrifying ability to warp the very nature of a person’s memories. When such powerful beings intervene, the past becomes malleable, leaving victims unable to distinguish their authentic history from manipulated falsehoods. To combat this profound distortion of reality, a specialized faction known as the Memory Collectors steps forward to enforce stability. Their singular mission is to bring order to a fractured world where perception itself is under constant threat. Operating with absolute detachment, they intervene in the lives of those affected by these memory-altering entities, imposing structure upon the chaos regardless of whether their methods are welcomed. In a landscape defined by deception and rewritten histories, the Memory Collectors remain the ultimate arbiters of truth, ensuring that order prevails even when the minds of the people they protect have already been compromised.
