In the year 799 of the Universal Calendar and 490 of the Imperial Calendar, having conquered Phezzan, Reinhard set his sights on the Free Planets Alliance, moving to bring the entire universe under his rule. Seeking to make full use of the fortress garrison’s strength, Yang Wen-li chose to abandon Iserlohn and face Reinhard in open space. Through elusive guerrilla tactics, Yang defeated the Empire’s foremost commanders, forcing Reinhard to lead the expedition personally and select the Bamilion system as the site for a decisive confrontation. Against the relentless advance of Yang’s fleet, and weakened by exhaustion and recurring illness, the young conqueror found himself facing an unprecedented crisis. With only two powers left in the galaxy, the two central figures of the story meet in their first true trial of strength, and the narrative reaches its peak.
