Genie Family 2020

Set fifty years after the events of the original 1969 anime, Genie Family 2020 introduces a new generation to a world where magic and everyday life intertwine. The story follows Kantarou Yodayama, the grandchild of Kan-chan, whose ordinary existence is forever changed when he crosses paths with Akubi. Unlike previous encounters, Akubi is no longer simply bound to grant wishes; she is actively undertaking a profound personal journey to prepare herself for the immense responsibility of becoming queen. Together in the human world, Kantarou and Akubi form an unlikely partnership that drives them through a series of diverse adventures. As they navigate modern society side by side, they take on various jobs and face the practical challenges of daily life. These shared experiences push both characters to grow beyond their initial expectations, blending magical potential with real-world effort. Through their collaborative endeavors, the pair gradually uncovers deeper truths about ambition and purpose. Their journey becomes more than a simple quest for royal preparation or youthful escapades; it transforms into a meaningful exploration of what it truly means to hold onto one's aspirations. Ultimately, their adventures highlight the vital importance of having dreams, proving that the pursuit of a goal can shape both a future queen and the young man who walks beside her.
