Summary

Official Details
Originally featured as a one-shot in the Winter 2009 issue of Akamaru Jump, Kagijin was slated for serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump beginning in July 2009. The story follows Tsubame, a young metal scrap collector working at Salvage Camp #13 in the desolate East Asian Desert. Driven by a singular dream, he tirelessly gathers enough money to fund his own journey, longing to be as unbound and free as a swallow soaring beyond its cage. His solitary existence changes abruptly when he uncovers a mysterious girl buried beneath the desert sands. Marked by a keyhole on her wrist, she bears the symbol of a Kagijin—an individual possessing demonic power formidable enough to rival an entire army. When the empire that once enslaved her arrives to reclaim their weapon, Tsubame defies them, refusing to surrender her and vowing to set her free. As he confronts overwhelming odds, a crucial mystery emerges: what is the true significance of the key hanging around his monkey's neck?
