In July 1999, the world braced for an apocalypse that never came. Instead, humanity awakened to superpowers, transforming the dawn of the twenty-first century into a volatile era defined by the relentless clashes between heroes and villains. Amid this chaotic new reality, Pyeong-Hwa operates as a solitary villain, preferring isolation over allegiance. However, while fleeing from danger, this loner unexpectedly crosses paths with the hero Sa-Rang, sparking a confrontation that defies all expectations. Rather than engaging in battle, Sa-Rang does the unthinkable in the midst of their tense standoff: he presents Pyeong-Hwa with a ring and proposes. This shocking gesture pulls both characters out of their predetermined roles and into a bizarre, unpredictable dynamic. What follows is a deeply unconventional love story between Sa-Rang and Pyeong-Hwa—a lone figure likened to a Benz with a broken steering wheel, careening through life without direction or control. Together, they begin living out their own romantic comic book, caught in a dizzying cycle of high-stakes chases and sudden betrayals that blur the line between sworn enemies and destined lovers.
