The Octopus Game

Every Sunday, Hong-Joo and Chung share a quiet tradition of playing board games together. It is a simple routine that has defined their relationship for some time, built on familiarity and comfort. However, their usual weekend ritual takes an unexpected turn when Hong-Joo introduces a mysterious new addition to their collection: the Octopus Game. Far from the innocent pastime they are accustomed to, this peculiar game is strictly intended for adults, carrying rules and consequences neither of them could have anticipated. As they begin to play, the game generates a series of deeply embarrassing missions that push both participants far beyond their normal boundaries. Under ordinary circumstances, either player might simply walk away from such an uncomfortable challenge. Yet, they find themselves entirely unable to stop. Bound by an old pact made between them long ago, Hong-Joo and Chung are forced to see every round through to its conclusion, no matter how compromising the tasks become. What initially appears to be nothing more than an awkward parlor game steadily strips away their defenses, transforming a casual Sunday activity into a dangerously personal ordeal where hidden feelings and unspoken tensions can no longer remain concealed.
