Fujiwara Momoe has spent her entire life shielded from hardship, enjoying the effortless luxury afforded by her wealthy family. With no responsibilities to weigh her down, she has devoted herself simply to savoring fine cuisine. However, her carefree existence is abruptly shattered when her father suffers a fatal heart attack. Thrust into the role of provider, Momoe must now support both herself and her grieving mother, a daunting task that requires her to handle everyday necessities like preparing meals. Having never stepped foot in a kitchen before, her initial attempts at cooking prove disastrous. Determined to survive and provide for her family, Momoe seeks employment at a French restaurant, where she begins working as an apprentice under the guidance of the head chef. As she struggles to master the demanding culinary arts, she gradually develops deep romantic feelings for her mentor. Yet, her unrequited affection introduces a new layer of emotional complexity to her already challenging journey. While Momoe views the chef through the lens of love, he remains entirely focused on his craft, seeing her strictly as a novice cook learning the trade rather than a potential partner.
