Record of Shameless Koumon's Pleasure Trip

Set against the vibrant and bustling backdrop of Edo during the Genroku era, Record of Shameless Koumon's Pleasure Trip follows the unconventional travels of the audacious Lord Kōmon. Far from a dignified nobleman conducting official business, this shameless lord embarks on a sprawling pleasure trip through the provinces, driven by his own indulgent whims rather than duty or honor. His grand excursion promises to be anything but ordinary, as he navigates the lively streets and distant territories of Japan with a singular focus on personal amusement. Accompanying him on this chaotic provincial journey are his two famously unreliable retainers, Suke-san and Kaku-san. Rather than providing steadfast protection or competent guidance, these bumbling companions add a layer of unpredictability to every step of the expedition. Together, this mismatched trio stumbles from one humorous misadventure to the next, turning what should be a formal procession into a scandalous tour of the countryside. The manga also features a special bonus story titled ZIPANG, offering readers an additional narrative experience alongside the main historical comedy.
