Menata, an ardent fan of boxing, harbored a deep conviction in his technical prowess within the sport. However, he ultimately abandoned his aspirations to become a boxer due to his slender physique. It was during a school excursion that Menata encountered Kenshi Oriba, whose formidable punching power left a lasting impression on him. When Oriba subsequently transferred to Menata's high school, the latter seized every opportunity to persuade him to take up boxing. Initially dismissive of the sport, Oriba was taken aback by the sheer power of the punches he learned from Menata, ultimately deciding to give boxing a try.
