In the secluded Isshinden Temple, Koharu has been raised as a living god with the sole purpose of defeating the raging god Yusemi. As a battle shrine maiden, she has been promised her freedom once she reaches full godhood. However, her desire to experience the world outside the temple leads her to flee, seeking the company of boys. Her journey takes her to the path of Yajuro, a dedicated young kendo practitioner, and his cousin Haruchika. When Yatsutose arrives, seeking Koharu, they join forces to combat Yusemi. As Koharu navigates this new world, she discovers the identity of her enemies and uncovers the secrets surrounding her birth. Ultimately, she must determine who her true adversaries are, and what lies at the heart of her conflict.
