A young mermaid named Rin lives in a seaside town, struggling to maintain her secret identity among humans. When she encounters a man named Kaito, who stands at the edge of a cliff, contemplating his own mortality, Rin's instincts as a mermaid urge her to rescue him. However, her human side, which she has developed through her interactions with Kaito, tells her to leave him be, as it is not her place to interfere with the human's decision. As Rin grapples with her conflicted emotions, she is drawn to Kaito's presence, sensing a deep connection between them. Despite the danger of revealing her true nature, Rin finds herself increasingly drawn to Kaito, who represents a world beyond the confines of the sea. The mermaid's desire to protect Kaito and her own longing for human connection create a poignant conflict within Rin, threatening to upend her carefully constructed dual life.
