Twenty and the Beast

Aya has just celebrated her twentieth birthday, marking her third year as a working professional. Despite her relative youth, she is assigned her first junior colleague—a new trainee named Yamato Higa. At twenty-six years old, Higa is older than his supposed senior, yet he steps into the role with ease. Naturally kind and effortlessly pleasant to be around, he quickly becomes a favorite among everyone in their department. However, behind his charming public persona lies a dynamic that catches Aya completely off guard. For reasons she cannot quite understand, Higa reserves a different side of himself exclusively for her. As her designated trainee, he should be following her lead, but instead, he constantly teases her and reveals an unexpectedly dominant, alpha-male demeanor whenever they are together. Mature, intelligent, and always one step ahead, Higa takes the initiative at every possible turn, leaving Aya flustered and entirely unable to concentrate on her daily responsibilities. What was supposed to be a straightforward mentorship quickly transforms into a distracting game of wits and tension, as Aya struggles to maintain her composure—and her focus—around the captivating junior who refuses to act like one.
