Set in the year 2061, Real Drive is a neo-futuristic science fiction suspense story that explores a world transformed by advanced technology. Human society has become entirely dependent on the Material Network, commonly referred to as Metal, a newly developed information infrastructure designed to be far more secure than its predecessors. While this system was intended to bring unprecedented stability and order to civilization, its rigid structure has begun to provoke unforeseen consequences. As individuals increasingly chafe against the strict limitations imposed by the network, strange aberrations start to emerge within the digital landscape, threatening the very foundation of this highly regulated society. To address these growing anomalies, specialized operatives known as cyber divers are dispatched directly into the network to investigate and resolve the incidents destabilizing the system. The narrative follows a dedicated team tasked with navigating these dangerous digital disruptions. Leading the unit is Eiichiro, who oversees operations alongside Mari, a skilled cyber diver responsible for executing critical missions. They are supported by Minamo, an intuitive young girl whose unique perspective proves invaluable, Sota, the team's combat expert trained to handle hostile threats, and Horon, an android who plays an essential role in their efforts. Together, they must unravel the mysteries hidden deep within the Material Network before the fractures in their controlled world widen beyond repair.
