Mikagura Chimai is a fifth-grade student attending a boarding school. When summer vacation arrives, she returns to her family home and stumbles upon a strikingly beautiful doll hidden away in their storehouse. However, the discovery quickly turns sinister. That very night, Chimai is plagued by a terrifying nightmare, and upon waking, she finds herself completely unable to move her legs. Her desperate situation takes an unexpected turn when Ryuu, a childhood friend with the rare ability to perceive curses, suddenly appears before her. Without hesitation, he reveals the grim truth: the doll has placed a curse on her. Before either of them can fully process the danger, the two children are abruptly pulled out of their ordinary lives and thrust into a terrifying realm inhabited by monsters—a parallel dimension known as the "hidden world." Now, Chimai must navigate this frightening new reality alongside Ryuu if she hopes to survive and break the curse that binds her.
