Sky Burial

Nogawa is gripped by a growing paranoia that he is being stalked by vultures. Consumed by fear, he retreats entirely from his daily life, withdrawing from college and severing ties with his girlfriend to isolate himself from the outside world. His fragile solitude is further disrupted when it is revealed that the resident living next door has been dead for three months. Horrified by the discovery, Nogawa’s friend and the remaining neighbors quickly abandon the building. With no other place to go, Nogawa chooses to remain behind as the neglected structure slowly begins to succumb to the forces of nature. Left entirely alone in the decaying property, his darkest fears materialize as a flock of vultures ultimately descends to roost upon the roof, sealing his grim fate within the deteriorating walls of his home.
