More than a Play Bite

Mikuni, a snake beast folk, endured relentless bullying throughout his childhood because of his non-human heritage. His sole source of comfort was Nachi, a quarter-lion beast folk who fiercely defended him and constantly reminded Mikuni of his beauty. Over the years, Mikuni’s affection for his protector deepened far beyond friendship, blossoming into a profound romantic longing that only intensified as they reached adulthood. Now fully grown, Mikuni enters his shedding phase, triggering the involuntary release of powerful pheromones that irresistibly attract everyone around him, regardless of whether they are human or beast folk. This sudden, overwhelming attention is deeply unwelcome, as his heart belongs exclusively to Nachi. Discovering that his bite possesses the potential to bewitch others, Mikuni makes a daring choice: he tests this ability on the one person he truly desires. He is left wondering if this act will finally make Nachi see him as more than just a friend. This volume also features two additional side stories. "The Sweetest Bite in the World" explores the relationship between a university professor and his ward, Takumi, a member of the track team. "Catch the Goddess by the Tail" follows the dynamic between Aihachi, a senior track member and former ace, and Shunsuke, the team's current star runner.
