At Arm's Length

Following a difficult first year at university, Michael steps away from his studies to focus on his mental health. After taking a full year off, he returns to campus with his life largely back on track. However, a lingering sense of uncertainty continues to shadow him. Terrified of experiencing further emotional pain, he deliberately keeps everyone around him at a safe distance, building walls to protect himself from the unpredictability of new relationships. His guarded routine is unexpectedly disrupted when a young woman known among students as the "ice queen" captures his attention. Intrigued by her aloof demeanor, Michael decides to pursue her, hoping to forge a genuine connection. Yet, as he attempts to break through her cold exterior, he quickly discovers that reaching her requires far more than casual effort. He realizes that in order to melt her heart, he must first be willing to open his own. As Michael slowly lowers his defenses and confronts his deep-seated fear of vulnerability, the emotional distance between them begins to close, offering both of them a chance at something real.
