When are You Going to Pay Your Rent!?

Arashi Fuse manages an apartment building and has grown increasingly concerned over one particular tenant who has fallen six months behind on rent. Determined to resolve the mounting debt, Arashi visits the delinquent resident's unit. When repeated knocks go unanswered, the landlord takes the initiative to enter the apartment, only to discover a startling scene: Kakeru Shiina, a writer residing in the unit, lies unconscious on the floor. Upon regaining his senses, Kakeru confesses the grim reality of his situation. He is so deeply impoverished that he cannot even afford basic meals, which ultimately led to his collapse. Desperate for a way out of his financial ruin, Kakeru proposes an unconventional arrangement to his landlord. He begs Arashi for assistance in completing a pressing writing project, promising that the earnings from the finished work will finally cover his long-overdue rent. However, what begins as a straightforward agreement between a struggling tenant and a persistent landlord quickly spirals beyond their expectations. As the two men attempt to collaborate, the situation shifts dramatically, leading them down a path neither could have anticipated.
