Summary

Official Details
The fifth installment of the Haruhi Suzumiya series presents three new stories. In "The Infinite Loop of August," Kyon cannot explain why, but he feels that the hot summer vacation is somehow strange. Whether the SOS Brigade goes swimming, shares drinks at a restaurant, or watches fireworks together, there is always a lingering sense that the season will never end. In "The Day of Sagittarius," the president of the Computer Research Society challenges the SOS Brigade to a computer game competition, with the latest laptops as the prize. Haruhi’s eyes light up at the prospect, and she is eager to fight. Kyon, however, feels daunted by the gap in skill, but has no choice but to play along. Haruhi leads the brigade forward, and the fun begins. In "Snow Mountain Syndrome," the winter trip planned for the SOS Brigade is a skiing outing in the snowy mountains. But the members are pulled into a different-dimensional space by a mysterious figure. Nagato’s abilities are limited, and she collapses with a fever after creating an escape route. Kyon and Koizumi, guided by Haruhi and Nagato’s warnings, struggle to solve the mystery and find a way out of the strange space.
