Migawari Hakushaku no Bouken

Mireille, the daughter of a bakery owner, has maintained a close bond with her twin brother, Fredrick, through letters ever since he was adopted into another family during their childhood. When Fredrick writes to confess his love for a woman betrothed to another man, Mireille responds by urging him to be bold and claim her as his own. Two months later, a handsome young man named Richard arrives, identifying himself as a messenger from Fredrick and declaring that he has come to take her away. Despite Mireille’s confusion and resistance, Richard abducts her, revealing that her brother has eloped with the crown prince’s fiancée. Consequently, Mireille is forced to assume her twin’s identity and impersonate Fredrick, the former Count of Bernhardt, to bear the consequences of his actions.
