Dr. Hell and his mechanical beasts have returned, more dangerous than ever before. Koji Kabuto and Tetsuya Tsurugi engage in a fierce battle against these hellish machines commanded by Baron Ashura, but the fight ends in devastating defeat. Koji’s Mazinger Z is captured by the enemy, while Tetsuya’s Great Mazinger sustains critical damage. Seizing the opportunity, the cunning Dr. Hell quickly reprograms the captured robot into the Baron Ashura Mazinger and launches an assault on the Photon Power Laboratory. With Koji missing in action, Tetsuya is left alone to defend the facility in his battered Great Mazinger. However, even for a pilot as brave as Tetsuya, Dr. Hell’s forces prove overwhelming, and all hope seems lost. Just as the battle appears to reach its tragic conclusion, a devastating barrage from an unknown robot annihilates the entire army of mechanical beasts. Could this be the legendary Mazinkaiser?
