Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z

Inspired by the American animated series *The Powerpuff Girls*, this anime follows Professor Utonium and his son, Ken, as they conduct research on the mysterious substance known as Chemical X. Their experiment takes an unexpected turn when a piece of mochi cake accidentally falls into the mixture, converting it into Chemical Z. Ken subsequently fires a ray of Chemical Z toward a glacier in Tokyo Bay, but the blast causes an unforeseen reaction, scattering strange black and white beams of light across the area. The black rays corrupt living beings, transforming them into monsters—most notably striking a monkey at the local zoo and turning him into the villainous Mojo Jojo. Meanwhile, the white rays seek out three ordinary girls—Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru—bestowing upon them the ability to transform into heroic defenders known as the Powerpuff Girls Z.
